Ok, so Federal Marshals are currently guarding several abortion providers, as they always do after one of the 8 MURDERS that have been committed by Anti-Choice TERRORISTS. Please see my post on the subject here, which lays out all the stats as provided by NARAL. But eventually, what will probably happen, is, they'll be recalled after a period of quiet. And another assassination will occur. Such is the pattern.
This is where you come in. Contact the White House and President Obama and stress to him in your emails, letters, carrier pigeon, whatever your preferred means of contact is, that you want Federal Marshals kept on the job until the Anti-Choice TERRORISTS are stopped.
ETA: I just sent my letter. Your turn.
Seriously, the President needs to know that we want abortion providers protected, and domestic TERRORISTS prosecuted to the full extent of the law. None of this, "Well, they mean well, I mean they have these BELIEFS, and we should respect that..."
Screw that crap.
I give them as much respect as they give me. Probably more, because I actually view them as autonomous beings who know exactly what they're doing, as opposed their apparent view of me as a woman as chattel, as someone who isn't smart or mature enough to know my own mind about my reproductive choices or anything else.
We have got to let the powers that be know that we are paying attention, we are angry and we WANT SOMETHING DONE!
