Oh yeah, leave it to Faux News... I'm linking to the Pandagon article about this, because I don't want to send ANY traffic to Fox.
Ok, so Fox News, being all about truth and reality and all that, decides that the person best qualified to discuss the nomination of Dr. Benjamin as our next Surgeon General is this guy: Michael Karolchyk. Mr. Karolchyk's claim to fame is owning the "Anti-Gym" where he has cage dancers, lectures young women on the importance of being hot enough (i.e. having large breasts), a room you can only get into if he judges you hot enough, and heaps abuse on the patrons.
So, of COURSE you would look at this misogynist jerk and think, "You know, I bet he has some trenchant thoughts on someone's professional qualifications for a high government post."
NOT.
Just more ammunition proving that Fox News is so far outside reality as to not even be looking in on it through a dirty window or an airlock. I... really? Really? This 52 year old woman who has scads of awards and accomplishments to her name is nominated for Surgeon General, and your argument is to bring on a guy in a "No Chubbies" t-shirt who can talk at length about how she's not hot enough for him? That's the best you got? Pack it in already, you've lost.
Seriously, I need to cut this off before it just veers into nothing but a steady stream of profanity, because really there isn't anything else to say about it.
Edited to Add: So, a buddy of mine watched the full clip, and said that the Fox guy, Cavuto, smacked Karolchyk down pretty good. Then likened it to internet trolling to boost your hits. You know, saying something really stupid just to rile people? My point is, if you have to resort to THAT guy to find someone who might make you look smarter or more tolerant, you lose.
