You can help ensure the rights of women around the world by urging the U.S. Senate to ratify CEDAW (the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women). This treaty is the most complete international agreement on basic rights for women.
The treaty has been stuck in the Senate for years, and your help is needed to finally get it ratified.
We're one of only eight countries who haven't ratified this important treaty, and as a result, the U.S. is keeping poor company with countries like Sudan, Iran and Somalia.
It has been nearly 30 years since the U.N. first adopted the Treaty for the Rights of Women, and it's high time that the U.S. join the rest of the world.
Please urge the Senate to take this simple step and help empower women around the world.
