Republican Campaign Sexism Toward Sarah Palin

We couldn't agree more. By sequestering Palin and demanding "deference" from reporters (translation: no tough questions) the Republican campaign is strongly suggesting that its Vice Presidential candidate isn't really ready for the big time, and that being a woman gives her special status.

Sorry, folks, but a Vice Presidential candidate can't afford to be sheltered from reporters or from controversy.

And for the record, we defend Sarah Palin against all the forms of sexism that have been directed against her, not because we support her candidacy or her politics, but because that's how feminism works.
