Celebrate Roe v. Wade: Provide Direct Support to Women seeking Abortion Services
In California we are extremely fortunate to have a program that helps provide direct support to women seeking abortion services. ACCESS uses direct services, community education and policy advocacy to enable abortion access and quality health care for low income and uninsured women, young women, immigrant women and women in rural or isolated areas.
You can help provide much needed support for these women by joining their Practical Support Network. Volunteers provide rides, overnight stays, day care, translation, etc. to help women get to their appointments. People are needed particularly in Sacramento, San Francisco, Fresno and San Jose.
This is a great way to provide direct, practical support to women who otherwise would not be able to access abortion. Sign up today!
Another great organization is Women's Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (WRRAP), which provides funding for low-income women's abortions throughout the country. Check them out at www.wrrap.org
