Haley Gee Saves the Birds in SF Bay

Haley Gee is my kind of woman, even if she is only 9 years old! After the oil spill in San Francisco Bay, she grabbed a bucket and began asking friends, neighbors and classmates to give what they could. A week and a half later, there is a bird rehabilitation fund, and a surf scoter, named after her!

The $450 she raised inspire other donations, which now total $13,000!

Haley Gee told the SF Chronicle "I felt sorry for the birds because they didn't do anything wrong." I sure wish the Oil Spill Response Team acted as quickly and efficiently. I like your style Haley Gee!
